School Library Awards

 JUNIOR LIBRARIAN AWARD

Our Junior Librarians were all presented with certificates to acknowledge their fantastic contribution to our school library over this year 2022 to 2023.

Pupil librarians are chosen from our Year 5 and Year 6 children. They learn how to use the library as independent learners. The library is monitored at lunch times by the junior librarians who use the library management system to issue and return books. They also help other children to find books and share their enjoyment of reading.

To apply to be a Junior Librarian please pick up an application form from the library in September.

They learn how the electronic management system works and have chance to share their love of reading and books with other pupils. 

If you would like to be a Junior Librarian please let the librarian know at the start of the new term in September. 
Pick up an application form. 
Once all the applications are in there will be an interview.
 
Over the holidays why not do a little research into the role of a Junior Librarian and come prepared for the job!

Junior Librarian Award


At our end of term and end of year school assembly our Junior Librarians for the Summer Term received an award for the fantastic work they have done looking after our school library.

Library Awards


Junior Librarian Award



Every term we choose pupil librarians from our Years 5 and 6. These children are instructed by the school Librarian in how a library functions and they help with running and monitoring the library during lunch times.

This term our librarians have done an excellent job and to thank them they were presented at the final assembly this morning, Wednesday 20th December, with a Junior Librarian Award together with their library portraits.
