We are delighted to inform you that award-winning author and screenwriter, Frank Cottrell Boyce, will be visiting our school on Friday 10th June, to share his new book, ‘Noah’s Gold’, with our children. Frank will be talking to Years 3,4,5 & 6 about his writing followed by a Q&A and book signing.



Frank Cottrell-Boyce won the Carnegie Medal for his debut children’s novel, ‘Millions’ and the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize for ‘The Unforgotten Coat’. ‘Millions’ was made into a film by Danny Boyle. His other books include ‘Framed’, ‘Cosmic’, ‘The Astounding Broccoli Boy’ and three sequels to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

 

Packed with mystery, adventure and laughs, ‘Noah's Gold’ is an exciting new novel, illustrated by Steven Lenton, and perfect for readers of 9+.

RECEPTION CLASSES


 Reception had a delightful afternoon with local author,

Charlotte Sebag-Montefiore. 

Charlotte read from her book 'Herbie and the T. Rex' 

and shared with the children lots of fun facts about dinosaurs.


The children were enthralled had an opportunity to share their thoughts about dinosaurs.

Charlotte signed copies of her book for children who had purchased a copy. 

The royalties from the sales will be donated to the NHS.

Thank you to all for your support and to Charlotte for giving up her time to come into school and give the children a special informative and fun afternoon.

We are delighted to inform you that local author, Charlotte Sebag-Montefiore, will be visiting our school on Friday 13th May, to share her book, ‘Herbie and the T. Rex’, with our Reception Year classes.  

 

 

This dinosaur story will tie-in with our curriculum topic on mega beasts. It is beautifully illustrated story about friendship that children and adults will enjoy.
