BOOK FAIR

 BOOK FAIR

Our Book Fair has been here for 2 days and

we have had a lot of excitement.

Every class will visit the Book Fair during school coming to the Book Fair on their library day.

Children will have a chance to browse and they will be given a
WISH LIST showing books they would like from the Fair.
This is a good way for them to be able to share their
wishes at home!

If you wish to purchase any books from the Wish List please return it to school along with proof of online payment or cash so that the books can be given to your child.

Children will be able to bring money to purchase books on the day that they are scheduled to come to the fair.
Please provide the money in an envelope clearly marked with their name and class
and give it to your child, teacher or the school office.

Payments can be made at the fair using contactless and cash. You purchase gift vouchers or make payments online. Please let the school know what books have been purchased online so that we can give them to your child.

Every child will also receive a World Book Day £1 Book Token that can be used at the book fair.

Remember when you buy one book we get one FREE for the library!

Thank you for supporting our school!

WORLD BOOK DAY & BOOK FAIR Coming Soon!

St Joseph’s World Book Day and Book Fair
Thursday 2nd March 2023

St Joseph’s World Book Day 2023 will take place on Thursday 2nd March

We have given each child a wooden spoon to decorate as their favourite book character.  On the 2nd of March we would like the children to come into school wearing their favourite pyjamas, onesies or comfy clothes (to represent the idea of cosying up with a book!) with their decorated spoons and if possible a copy of the book the character is from.  The plan is to share books across the school in a variety of ways.

We would also like the children to bring in a photo of them reading – this can be in their normal reading place such as in a comfy chair or in an unusual place such as in the park.

In light of the tragic earthquake that has recently devastated Turkey and Syria we would like each child to contribute a £1.  The money collected will be donated to DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee).

To celebrate World Book Day, we will also be hosting a Book Fair, with hundreds of new children’s books to browse and buy. With prices starting from only £2.99, there’s sure to be a book for everyone.

Children's Mental Health Week

Children's Mental Health Week
6th-12th February

This year's theme is Let's Connect

Let's Connect is about making meaningful connections for all, during Children's Mental Health Week, and beyond. People thrive in communities, and this connection is vital for our wellbeing.

As part of the GET ISLINGTON READING initiative sets of wellbeing books have been given to our library for the children to borrow.
