Library - Donations - Happy New Year!

DONATIONS

We have a very special library here at St Joseph’s and we wish to maintain its high standard in meeting all the learning needs of our children. Donating a book helps to build our library collection with the very latest in children’s literature. It is the perfect way to support your child and school.

 Christmas Wish ListπŸ“šπŸŽ„

We have received some wonderful new books for our library.

Many thanks to everyone who sent the school a Christmas gift.

BIRTHDABOOK CLUBπŸ“š

Celebrate your child’s birthday with a donation to our school library!

We also have a Birthday Book Club which provides you with an opportunity to donate a book to our school library in honour of your child’s birthday and ensures that we have new and exciting books for your children each year.

Join the Birthday Book Club by making payment of the membership fee of £6.00 via ParentPay. Your child will then be able to select a book with the help of the school librarian.

All books will have a bookplate placed inside with your child’s name and birth date and they will be the first to borrow the book.

Your support in our endeavour to keep our library well-resourced and an inspiring place for our children is invaluable. Your gift will become part of our library and a source of enjoyment and learning for many others.

Thank you to everyone who has joined and donated a book to our library!

A book is a gift that keeps on giving for years to come.

Happy New Year!

Birthday Book Club

BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB

Celebrate your child’s birthday with a donation to our school library!

A book is a gift that keeps on giving for years to come.

We are writing to you about our new Birthday Book Club which provides you with an opportunity to donate a book to our school library in honour of your child’s birthday and ensures that we have new and exciting books for your children each year.

We have a very special library here at St Joseph’s and we wish to maintain its high standard in meeting all the learning needs of our children. Ensuring this provision is especially difficult in this climate of diminishing school budgets.

Donating a book not only helps to build our library collection with the very latest in children’s literature but makes your child feel special at the same time. It is the perfect way to support your child and school.

There are two ways to donate a book to our library:

1.       1.Join the Birthday Book Club by completing and returning the slip below and making payment of the membership fee of £6.00 via ParentPay only. Your child will then be able to select a book with the help of the school librarian.

2.       2.Purchase a book selected by you and your child at your local bookshop and bringing it to the school office labelled with your child’s name.

All books will have a bookplate placed inside with your child’s name and birth date and their name will be placed on our Birthday Book Club display in the Library. They will be the first to borrow the book and be part of our monthly celebration for donations at a school assembly.

Your support in our endeavour to keep our library well-resourced and an inspiring place for our children is invaluable. Your gift will become part of our library and a source of enjoyment and learning for many others.

All birthdays falling during holidays will be celebrated the month after our return to school.

Please contact our School Librarian, Mrs Rooney, for further information or visit our library blog: www.ilovereadingatstjosephs.blogspot.com.

All payments and donations will need to be made by the third Monday of the month.

Kind regards

Mrs Grainne Rooney
School Librarian

Donation

Magazines

We are very grateful to the parents of Eleanor in Sapphire Class who have very kindly donated a collection of BBC Wildlife magazines to the school.

These are now in the school library and available for our children to browse during lunch times and their weekly library sessions.

Many Thanks!
