National Poetry Day

CHARLOTTE SEBAG-MONTEFIORE

As part of our celebrations for National Poetry Day 2019 we invited local poet,
Charlotte Sebag-Montefiore, to St Joseph's on Wednesday 16th October.

Charlotte has been writing poems for many years.
She has published two books of verse and riddles based on
animals and designed to be read aloud.

Charlotte held special poetry workshops with Years 2, 3 and 4 and shared her fun riddles and knowledge of animals.

There was much excitement when the children tried to guess the animals for each riddle.
Charlotte inspired the children to write their own verse and shared her writing tips.

Charlotte signed her books bought by children and was very impressed with our school library.

Thank you Charlotte for coming to visit St Josephs!
