Author visit – Yinka Rabiu,
In order to support literacy and creativity we are delighted to welcome into school the author, Yinka Rabiu, on Monday 6th December.
Yinka Rabiu, is a Nigerian born, London raised children’s book author and has written a trilogy called ‘The Wonderful World of Morgan Mingle and Bear Bandit’. The three stories, “The Trip to the Park”, “At the Pool” and “The Sleepover”, are about the endearing friendship between a boy and his dog. The boy is based on the author’s godson, Morgan, who is in Orange class. Yinka was inspired to write in order to contribute to the diversity movement in the world of children’s books.
Yinka Rabiu will be giving the children an exciting presentation of her books including a reading and a draw-along. More information about the author can be found on the following website: www.thewonderfulworldmmbb.com.
Signed copies of Yinka Rabiu’s trilogy in a presentation slipcase can be purchased in advance by using ParentPay. Please complete and return the payment slip to the office (email replies accepted) by Monday 6th December.
