WORLD BOOK DAY

St Joseph's

World Book Day

Thursday 4th March 2021

World Book Day 2021 takes place on Thursday 4th March, and we are delighted to celebrate the most exciting book day of the year with you all online.

The lockdown means doing things differently so this year we would like to invite you to join in with some amazing activities to celebrate the joy of reading with your children.

1. Decorate a potato as a character from a book. Children can use paint, fabric or other materials to create their character. Please upload a picture to SeeSaw or Tapestry.

2. Create a wordle or word cloud, based on a favourite book. Children can use words that describe their favourite book or words that are key words in the book. Words can be repeated, vary in size and colour and can be organised into any shape that might be relevant to the story. Please upload a picture to SeeSaw or Tapestry.

3. Share a story in an unusual place. Maybe your child has a favourite cubby hole, a cupboard under the stairs, or under a tree! Take a picture of your child reading/being read to in an unusual place and upload it to SeeSaw or Tapestry. These pictures will be used in a special display in school, once we are all back in again.
