St Josephs World Book Day celebrations in Islington Tribune

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School and Nursery in Highgate celebrated reading with costumes, competitions, storytelling and a book fair.

Angela Noronha, Head of School, said: "World Book Day is a great way to get budding bookworms excited about reading and to show how magical books can be."

The best costumes were awarded Willy Wonka Golden Ticket-style book vouchers to spend at the school book fair and every child received a World Book Day £1 book token.

The day was spent with children sharing stories with each other in class and in the school library.
