Book Fair

World Book Day and Book Fair

St Joseph’s World Book Day and Book Fair
Thursday 7th March 2024

St Joseph’s World Book Day 2024 will take place on Thursday 7th March.

On the 7th of March we would like the children to come into school dressed as a ‘word’. Your child may come to school dressed as an adjective such as “colourful” and wear their rainbow clothes; other adjectives may include: contagious, sparkly, spotty or horrifying. Alternatively, they may come to school as a noun and dress as “Christmas” in their best Christmas jumper or “Princess” in their favourite costume. There are lots of examples online and we encourage you to be as creative as you can be. We would also like all children to redesign an alternative book cover for their favourite books illustrating it with colourful images. There will be £5 book vouchers for our Book Fair to be won for the best book covers.

To celebrate World Book Day, we will also be hosting a Book Fair, with hundreds of new children’s books to browse and buy. With prices starting from only £2.99, there’s sure to be a book for everyone.

Celebrate Reading at our Book Fair!

Nancy and Isla - Amethyst Class - organising books

Isla and Nancy from Amethyst Class have been doing a fantastic job of keeping all our books tidy and in order. They help recommend and find books for younger children as well as teach others how the library is organised so everyone can enjoy it.
